The redemption process begins next month and will last till June 30, 2021
Two months ago, the Singapore government announced that adult Singaporeans aged 18 and above this year will each receive $100 in digital vouchers to spend on domestic tourism activities.
Today, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) announced more details of the online redemption process for these SingapoRediscovers vouchers, which will be available for redemption from December 1, 2020, to June 30 2021. All Singaporeans above 18 years old are also entitled to purchase up to six subsidised child or youth tickets for attractions and tours for family members under the age of 18.
There will also be physical counters set up around Singapore to provide assistance for those who need help with digital transactions.
“The SingapoRediscovers Vouchers aim to support Singapore’s tourism sector by stimulating domestic consumption of hotels, attractions and tours. We have designed the redemption process to be safe, easy and inclusive for all Singaporeans, and we hope that they will take this opportunity to support tourism businesses, while rediscovering what they love about Singapore,” said STB Chief Executive Mr Keith Tan.
He added: “Singaporeans can look forward to many attractive deals, including packages that combine staycations, attractions and tours. There is no need to rush to use the Vouchers, as STB will continue to work with tourism businesses to roll out more deals throughout the scheme period.”
