TATLER FOCUS

Elegant, timeless and made to last—these are the qualities that define the collections of Italian furniture brand Flexform, which pair made-in-Italy craftsmanship with elements of contemporary style.

Get to explore these refined designs at the Flexform Singapore flagship, centrally located in the Newton area. The two-storey space features a well-curated selection of Flexform collections, some of which have been designed by Italian architect Antonio Citterio—Citterio oversees the creative direction of the brand.

The 3,000sqft space takes cues from the Flexform pavilion mounted at the 2017 Salone del Mobile furniture fair in Milan, which was Citterio’s contemporary take on la dolce vita (the sweet life in the Italian language).

Furniture pieces have been grouped elegantly into “living islands”, centred around iconic products such as the timeless sofa designs that the brand is best known for.

The space itself is decked with travertine-effect flooring, dark aluminium panels on the ceiling to complete the elegant mood, alongside complementary pieces such as lamps from Italian lighting label Penta and home accessories from Danish silverware brand Georg Jensen.

The flagship store currently features key pieces from its 2017 collection next to classic designs including the Soft Dream sofas and Gipsy table.

Produced in Flexform’s manufacturing headquarters in Meda, in northern Italy, these furniture pieces feature colour palettes in neutral tones including ivory, sand and shades of grey, and are accentuated with metallic accents such as champagne and burnished metal, as well as a tactile array of leathers.
