Hotel de Crillon, Paris, France
With a history dating back to 1758, the Crillon is a veritable institution in Paris, located at the Place de la Concorde where the Champs-Élysées begins. In 2013, it was announced that Rosewood Hotels & Resorts would take over the management of the property. The restoration will entail a contemporary overhaul led by Lebanese artistic director Aline d'Amman and architect Richard Martinet. Karl Lagerfeld has also been commissioned to design two suites.

Four Seasons Ten Trinity, London
Regarded as one of Britain's finest architectural landmarks, London heritage building Ten Trinity Square will be turned into a luxury hotel near the Tower of London and St. Paul's Cathedral. The five-star property will house 100 rooms and 11 signature suites as well as French and Asian dining options.

Designed by local artists using reclaimed materials, 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge is poised to become the hottest hotel destination outside Manhattan. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide expansive views of the East River, the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan skyline. The 10-story development blends natural greenery with industrial steel with the aim of creating an urban oasis.

Conrad Bora Bora Nui, Bora Bora
Located on an islet off the coast of Bora Bora about 20 minutes by boat from the airport, the luxury resort will feature 29 tropical garden and beach villas and 86 overwater bungalows, including double-story Presidential Suites. The beachfront resort will offer sea sports, coral reef dive sites, hiking trails and a full-service spa with eight treatment rooms.

Life Hotel, Manhattan, USA
As its name suggests, the Life Hotel will pay tribute to the editors of the now defunct LIFE magazine, some of whom kept apartments on top of the building that will be turned into a hotel, according to Travel + Leisure magazine. Original details like iron pillars, marble floors and a basement speakeasy will remain.

Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, USA 
Located where Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevards meet, the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills will become the latest luxury address to glam up Tinseltown. At the property's helm is designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, whose vision is inspired by California lifestyle and luxury. Visitors enter a grand three-story lobby, which is decked out in Lalique crystal. Celebrity chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten also brings his Michelin-starred restaurant Jean-Georges to the hotel, while the spa will feature La Prairie beauty products.

Six Senses Bhutan
The Six Senses journey is actually five satellite resorts designed to reflect the heritage and hospitality of the mountain kingdom of Bhutan, also known as the "Happiest Place on Earth." A total of 82 guest suites will be distributed between these five lodges, each designed to evoke a different place in Bhutan: Thimphu, Punkha, Gangtey, Bumthan and Paro.
