Above Walls of this abode had to be re-plastered, during the renovation stage of this project

Although the three-bedroom apartment already featured elements of a dream home, some renovation work was still necessary.

The walls were not well-maintained, and the bathrooms had to be redone. The owners also wished to have a truly personalised abode, with decorative details personally selected by the couple while creating a more stunning backdrop for Kateryna’s paintings and collection of Art Deco-style objects.

The homeowners thus turned to interior designer New Nyew and her eponymous firm to help realise their dream abode; it was a fruitful collaborative process filled with creative synergy between the couple and the designer, and it took a total of two months to complete this project.

To create the perfect backdrop for the eclectic art collection, the homeowners opted for a neutral palette for the residence. The apartment is clad in primarily in shades of grey and cream, accentuated by pops of colour on the artworks and upholstery hand-picked by the couple.

Sliding doors by the living area open up to the outdoor area, which overlooks verdant greenery and floods the abode with natural light.

Potted plants and a painting by Kateryna animate the space, next to seats upholstered in serene blue leather that draw cues to the home’s proximity to the sea. A characterful collection of cushions and throws also add to the snug appeal of the space.
