This expansive and stately home is surrounded by abundant greenery—see more photos of this home project, the Best Contemporary Design awardee for A Celebration of Design by Singapore Tatler Homes.

Stately, yet warm with a touch of Asian mystique, this home makes the most of the generous plot size by drawing in plenty of natural light and views of the surrounding greenery.

The Ang residence in Leedon Park, designed by architect Loh Er Pau of Tellus Design and interior designer Tay Hiang Liang of Design Basis, is a palatial beauty that charmed readers of the February 2016 issue. It’s proof that a home can be swathed in magnificence and still remain warm and welcoming.

This home is now an award-winning project by Design Basis, our Best Contemporary Design awardee for A Celebration Of Design; the first-ever signature event by Singapore Tatler Homes.  The dinner event will be held at Foo'd by David Oldani on February 28, to celebrate the accomplishments of top talents in the local design scene.

A contemporary classic, the Leedon Park home furnished by Marquis HQO has impressive features such as a generously sized entrance foyer with a Windfall Balance chandelier and a full-height ebony feature wall that creates a cool and relaxing ambience for entertaining.

With various functional zones arranged in a classical H-shaped plan and a grand staircase joining the two wings, the layout offers strong visual connectivity between indoor and outdoor spaces. A sense of grandeur is expressed through the use of luxurious materials and dramatic heights.

Poolside Views

A mix of natural materials and greenery add to the cosiness of the pool area. A wooden cladding surrounds the master bedroom, which overlooks the pool.

A Grand Entrance

The grand reception foyer, with its high-gloss wood finish, adds impact to the space. What catches the eye:  the Windfall Balance chandelier that dangles delicately from the ceiling.

Asian Influences

Laser-cut patterns are a great way to add detail and texture to a feature wall. Here, the design of the panel in the master bedroom is adapted from Asian motifs and finished in gloss.

Garden Life

A fish pond helps to add life to the quadrangle; it's right beside the dining room, which boasts a nine-metre height volume that accentuates the St Louis chandelier.
