Stretching along the Southern coastline of Italy's Sorrentine Peninsula, Amalfi Coast is a popular holiday destination for honeymooners and solo travellers alike. 5. Byron Bay, Australia

A popular holiday destination, Byron Bay is a coastal town in the southeastern Australian state of New South Wales. With spectacular beaches all along the coast, Australia is perfect for a yoga retreat, beach holiday or whale-watching adventure. 

Australia is a place where you'll never feel alone, with the local culture being so warm, friendly and chatty. Combined with the fantastic weather, strong coffee and hip, alternative vibes in Byron Bay, you may never want to leave.

6. Seville, Spain

A famed Game of Thrones filming location, Seville is the capital of southern Spain's Andalusia region. Packed with major landmarks that have retained its history from the Moorish Almohad dynasty, this is a city that is as known for its historical past as its theatrical culture. 

There's lots to do as a solo traveller in Seville, including sightseeing all the major monuments, watching a flamenco show (or even taking up a lesson), visiting the food markets and of course, chowing down on tapas.
