1. Ditre Italia modular chaise lounge

The brand: Ditre Italia was founded in San Martino di Colle Umberto, a small town about 60km north of Venice. While the brand started as a workshop crafting customised furniture, it soon grew as a manufacturing company known for combining innovative materials with artisanal skills.

Design philosophy: As with most long-standing furniture institutions in the country, Ditre Italia is a proud practitioner of traditional made-in-Italy craftsmanship. Its team of designers considers each piece of furniture with the same meticulous attention that one would give a tailor-made garment.

Our pick: The Papilo modular chaise lounge comes in a pleasing combination of salmon and cream. Blending comfort and style, the frame is constructed with spruce and beech woods while the upholstery is covered with foam and tecnoform; the latter is an innovative new material created by the brand and is a type of non-deformable polyurethane foam with a density of 30 kg.

2. Cipriani Homood dining table and chairs

Established in the Tuscan region of Pisa in 1977, Cipriani Homood approaches traditional furniture-making techniques with contemporary aesthetics. The label considers itself a “full concept brand” that offers customers complementing home accessories alongside its furniture.

Design philosophy: Never too showy, furnishings by Cipriani Homood feature simple and clean lines that are enhanced by the use of quality materials, such as walnut wood, marble and precious glass and metals. The brand’s design team constantly strives to stay ahead of trends through the research of new production techniques like geometrical inlays and intricate hand-carved wooden elements on its collections.

Our pick: Crafted with a Hungarian herringbone veneer top with an inlaid marble lazy susan, this stylish dining table (pictured above) is an impactful addition to any interior. Pair it with a set of soft and comfy Cipriani Homood chairs, upholstered with smooth and durable nubuck leather.

3. The Chanel bed from Ulivi Salotti

With a stringent manufacturing process that combines new technologies with traditional craft, Tuscan brand Ulivi Salotti has carved a name for itself by using only the best vegetable tanned leathers and woods.

Design philosophy: Founded in 1972, the brand is well-known for using natural oils and wax to tan and finish its leathers—a technique that is considered eco-friendly. Ulivi Salotti’s designs are identified by its emphasis on timeless silhouettes, curved lines and elegant colours.

Our pick: The Chanel bed frame features a back frame made from solid American walnut with metal-end caps on the legs. The main bed frame is available in leather or fabric options.
