Are vineyards becoming the new destination for summer festivals dedicated to the finer things in life? France's renowned Château de Pommard in Burgundy has joined the trend of offering more than just great music to festival-goers. From July 13 to 15, the vineyard, which is known the world over for its Clos Morey-Monge red wine, will bring together a host of gastronomical and wine-related experiences to perfectly complement the music from Keziah Jones, Breakbot, and the British band Jungle.

There will be something for both wine-lovers and foodies as a special bar will offer top Burgundy wines including Côte des Nuits and Côte de Beaune, and there will be a food court providing dishes made by local chefs.

The Château de Pommard, which is a major player in wine tourism in Burgundy, will showcase its own range of wines, including a rosé created especially for the festival. The Rootstock Rosé can also be savoured at the festival's cocktail bar. And those who want to explore outside the festival can take cycling tours through Burgundy's most famous wine estates in the villages of Volnay, Puligny-Montarchet and Meursault.

Visitors to Château de Pommard's second festival will be able to go "glamping" courtesy of the UK-based company Pop-Up Hotel. They will have a choice of "Luxury Safari" or "Superior Plus" tents. Prices start at €1,250 for a two-person package with a "superior" tent, a three-day pass for the music, wine-tasting, a picnic and 24-hour access to the festival's chill-out zone.
