Make a memory of a lifetime as you exchange vows at the newly renovated chapel at the Bulgari Resort Bali, overlooking the expansive Indian Ocean.

Nothing quite prepares you for the moment you walk up the cobbled steps towards the entrance lobby of the cliff-side Bulgari Resort Bali in Uluwatu. As you approach the landing, your breath catches in your throat, and the only sound you can utter is “wow”.

Thatched villas dot the verdant landscape, as if dipping their toes into the azure sea below. At the horizon, the water and baby blue sky, punctuated only by the wispiest of clouds, meet in a harmonious union. On a clear day, you can barely see where the sea ends and where the sky begins.

You reach out for the hand, that comfortable, familiar hand of the one you love, and you know instantly that it is before such majestic, humbling beauty that you wish to make the commitment of your lifetime.

You will find similar views at the newly-renovated chapel of the Bulgari Resort Bali. As the heavy oak doors open inwards, you are greeted by an unobstructed panorama of the Indian Ocean through a floor-to-ceiling glass wall panel. Against this backdrop, you and your partner can officialise your union, the promises uttered made even more significant by the serene calm of the Indian Ocean beyond.

The secular chapel, the first of its kind in the Bulgari universe, is imbued with local touches and Italian elements. The outer structure is constructed from Bali’s Paras Kerobokan stone, a dark grey varietal, while Andesite volcanic stones line the floors. It seats 90 guests, and provides direct access to the Glass Pavilion ballroom next door, where you can host up to 160 guests. The chapel is the design vision of Italian house Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners, who also planned the architecture of the entire resort.

To top the experience, Bulgari also offers the opportunity for brides to wear a one-of-a-kind, diamond-studded tiara on their big day. How’s that for being a princess for a day?
