Bentley made its first foray into design with architect Carlo Colombo for the Bentley suite at the St. Regis New York

Luxury carmaker Bentley has ventured into the world of home decoration and design with the new Bentley Home collection, created in collaboration with Luxury Living Group.

"For more than 90 years, Bentley has produced the world's finest hand-crafted car interiors – now we are making our approach to luxury available to people's homes and offices," explains Bentley Motors' Director of Product and Marketing, Stefan Buescher.

Through the new collection, Bentley will "combine the traditional elan of the British driver's spirit with a new modern English twist," Buescher added.

Following the example of the Bentley suite at the St. Regis Hotel in New York, this "haute couture home collection" includes furniture and homeware characterised by the use of leather, precious wood veneers, metal, steel, silk and glass.

While a preview was on display at last month's furniture fair in Milan, the complete collection will only be revealed at Paris' Salon Maison et Objet in January 2014.
