Conceptualised by Chère: Weddings & Parties' Tan Weiwei, Nick Taylor and Ong Pei Ling's colonial themed wedding party was a lesson in classical English elegance

Held at the Raffles Hotel in September 2012, Nick Taylor and Ong Pei Ling's entire wedding oozed a colonial English feel. Tan Weiwei of Chère: Weddings & Parties explains how the event was conceptualised:

"Pei Ling wanted a wishing tree and showed us pictures of her visions. The idea seemed crazy at first, but we suggested she upsize the wishing tree into a wishing arch. Stretching more than two metres in length, it was the biggest arch we had conceptualised thus far and there were two of them for this wedding!"

"In addition, the wish cards were customised for the couple with their own monogram and produced through letterpress, adding to the event’s old English elegance."

"Personally, this wedding experience left a lasting impression on us and almost every meeting with the couple ended with drinks. It was an unusual way to discuss wedding matters yet it was the perfect opportunity to break from the formal client-vendor relationship and become friends."
