Metropolitan beachside luxury gets an Armani spin in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida.

In its journey to take on some of the most dynamic cities in the world, Armani/Casa Interior Design Studio has provided design services to private individuals as well as property developers since 2003. Its latest venture: A luxurious property in Miami, Florida. This joint project is the brainchild of Armani/Casa, Dezer Development and Related Group.

The 60-storey high tower, which houses 308 apartments offering spectacular ocean views, is designed by internationally renowned architect, César Pelli. Pelli, if you aren’t already aware, is the man behind the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur and the International Finance Centre (IFC) in Hong Kong.

In this collaboration, Pelli has worked with Giorgio Armani to create an ultra-luxe and modern living space for the discerning crowd. Art Deco design elements have been a major source of inspiration, and it’s being reinterpreted for Residences by Armani/Casa. The alluring ocean and lush greenery that surround the property have also played a part in the building’s choice of colour palette.

Besides the usual facilities of spa and gym, the condominium boasts a kids room, cigar room, wine room, theatre and bar that are located on the building’s ground and first floors.

“It was a real challenge to interpret the light and architecture of Miami, with its strong Deco influence that is continuously updated,” says Giorgio Armani. “Armani/Casa not only expresses my aesthetic sensibility as applied to interior design, but it also immerses it in the geography of the location and its surroundings. In what is recognisable as my style, I wanted to add a range of fresh colours and stylised designs which create a continuous reference to the city. Working with Dezer Development and the Related Group has allowed me to achieve excellence in creating a space for living.”
