1. The Robertson House
Transport yourself back to British colonial Singapore at The Robertson House. This colonial-concept hotel takes inspiration from Singapore’s rich heritage, from its room names to old-world colonial accents. Conceptualised by Ascott’s in-house design team, the 10-floor hotel boasts 336 rooms and suites overlooking either the city or Singapore River. Inside the elegantly designed rooms and suites, find a print setting the scene of the Singapore River and images of the spice trade dot in the past.
Apart from its rooms, the hotel offers a range of facilities, including the all-day dining restaurant and bar Entrepôt that comes decked in black and white visual cues. The space is furnished with rattan furniture and adorned with touches of British colonial influence. Located on the top floor is the elegant club lounge, 1823 Reading Room. Inspired by the opening of Singapore’s National Library in 1823, the elegant space overlooks the city and features a collection of vintage and rare books.
