Teresa Lim is dispelling the notion that embroidery is a hobby for grannies. The 27-year-old embroidery artist and illustrator, who also plays the violin, tells meaningful stories through her colourful stitches, which have gained her clients such as Gucci, Netflix, Changi Airport and Singapore Airlines. An exciting personal project she is working on is incorporating used plastics in her textile work to shine light on our excessive consumption of the man-made material. While it will take more than that to change government regulations, she will certainly leave an impression on her almost 76,000 followers on Instagram.
