Debra Lam

Debra Lam

Debra Lam’s ultimate dream is for her social enterprise to close down. It is not so shocking when you realise it stems from a hope that Singapore will eventually become fully inclusive and aware of the challenges faced by people with disabilities. Until that day comes, the 25-year-old and her co-founder Ryan Ng are fighting the good fight with Society Staples, and their efforts in advocating acceptance and equality have earned the company several awards, including Global Health & Pharma’s Best Disability Focused Social Enterprise – Singapore, and a $100,000 grant from the Singapore Centre for Social Enterprise.
