With Bryan Tan and his team overseeing the store opening of three luxury fashion boutiques—namely, Christian Dada, Off-White and Surrender—at 268 Orchard last year, it is safe to say there is still a healthy appreciation for upmarket street style in Singapore. Together with his sister Mae, Bryan is the face of Surrender, a multi-label designer clothing store that is now an icon in the local fashion scene, having collaborated with celebrated international artists such as DRx Romanelli and Cali Thornhill Dewitt, and hosted the Louis Vuitton x Fragment Design pop-up in April. As regional brand and operations manager at Surrender and Christian Dada Singapore, the 25-year-old hopes “to stimulate the senses via visual arts, music or anything that encourages a reaction in this technological age”.
