Taking over Singapore’s most beloved nightclub and subsequently moving it from its original home on Jiak Kim Street was not an enviable job, but one that Andrew Li boldly took on—and proved to be fearless in the face of resistance. The down-to-earth CEO of Zouk has brought the household name well past local borders with the launch of Zouk at Sea on luxury cruise liner Genting Dream, Zouk in Genting Highlands and Resorts World Las Vegas as well as ZoukOut in Japan, Hong Kong and the Philippines. For him, however, success is not in the credentials, but “measurable only by each individual. If I can look in the mirror and be proud of who I am looking at, then that’s the first step”, says the 33-year-old UK-born Hong Konger, who moved to Singapore earlier this year to focus on propelling the Zouk brand further. When he is not in work or party mode, he is either obsessing about food or training for Ironman 70.3.
