When you’re managing a business empire comprising residential, industrial and commercial properties as well as a hospitality portfolio worth $1.5b, it can be a massive weight on your shoulders. But Bobby Hiranandani is not one to buckle under pressure. Since taking over the reins of the business from his father Asok Kumar two years ago, Bobby has developed eight hotels in various markets, with two more in the pipeline. He insists it would not have been possible without good staff. “Profit growth is definitely important, but any successful businessman worth his salt should also take care of his staff. I am especially proud of the fact that we have one of the lowest staff turnover in the industry.”
