We’re often asked who the younger generation of Singapore Tatler readers are. Indeed, the very definition of high society was written by Tatler and the rules defined by us, so it isn’t surprising that Tatler is looked upon as the authority on Singapore society’s next generation.

And here in your hands is it: Generation T (for Tatler). This project was three months in the making… but it was also three decades in the making. Many of the names in this inaugural list are young talents already on our radar; others we were introduced to through friendships, family networks and relationships we’ve built through the years. Leaning on our connections, insider knowledge and intel, the work of some 100 potential candidates were scrutinised and debated by our panel to arrive at 50 movers and shakers we think you ought to know, right now.

So who made it to our inaugural list? Our selection process was quite simple. More than just the next generation of high society (whom we are, of course, also keeping close tabs on), we want the nation’s most disruptive talents, creative innovators and real influencers. These are the individuals who will be the future of Singapore—those who dare to make their own rules, question the establishment, blaze their own paths, seek their own fortunes.
