Held on June 5, the Tatler Gen.T Leaders of Tomorrow event was attended by more than 120 guests, which included current and past years’ honourees, including Brian Cu and Ann Dumaliang, as well as members of the Gen.T Tribe, such as Tim Yap and Franco Varona.
In addition to the guests, the event was also made possible by our local headline partner HSBC and supporting partners Shangri-La The Fort, The Singleton and Angkas.
The evening kicked off with emcee Aziza Mondonedo introducing the Tatler Gen.T brand, before she passed the mic over to Ryanne Co, Gen.T’s editor in the Philippines.
Guests were also given a peek into two exciting new initiatives that we are rolling out this year by Gen.T’s regional head Lee Williamson, who flew in from Hong Kong to attend the event. These included an NFT charity project and the upcoming Gen.T Summit held in Hong Kong in November.
Raffy Magno, a 2023 Gen.T honouree who serves as the executive director of Angat Buhay, also shared a few words on how his organisation supports vulnerable Filipino communities. His organisation has been chosen as the Philippine beneficiary of Gen.T’s NFT initiative.

The three-course dinner was prepared by Shangri-La The Fort and featured a salmon appetiser, beef short rib for main course and panna cotta for dessert.
Later, HSBC Philippines’ president and CEO Sandeep Uppal took to the stage to deliver advice to the young leaders in the audience, as did 2020 Gen.T honouree and Angkas CEO George Royeca, who shared about pushing boundaries and testing the limits as a business leader.
The event culminated in the official introduction of the 40 Filipino honourees on the Gen.T List this year. All in attendance were invited for a group photo to commemorate the moment, before everyone headed off for more feasting and mingling at the after-party.
There, honourees’ family and friends as well as Tatler community members were invited to join in the fun. A DJ spun on the decks, and guests indulged in canapes paired with tipples ranging from bubblies to bespoke cocktails infused with The Singleton whisky.
