Our Leaders of Tomorrow 2022 event in China took on a slightly different format this year. It was held over two days at The Chedi Xinchang, where guests enjoyed wellness activities in addition to the celebration
In the second half of September, the Gen.T community in China gathered for our Leaders of Tomorrow event to celebrate the launch of the Gen.T List 2022.
This year, the annual event was held over two days and doubled as a short getaway for the guests who attended, as it took place at The Chedi Xinchang, about 2.5 hours away from Shanghai.
The 2022 Gen.T honourees in attendance included pianist Zhang Haotian, Yongfoo Élite's Chang Liu, fashion designer Louis Shengtao Chen and MSC Consulting's Tan Yaxing. They were joined by members of China's Tribe, a panel of industry experts we work with to nominate and select the final names for the Gen.T List.
During the private dinner celebration on the first evening, one Tribe member, Lu Yang, who is China's first master sommelier, took the stage to share his hopes and excitement about the potential of the young leaders in the Gen.T community.
Three 2022 honourees were later also announced as the recipients of this year's Gen.T x Credit Suisse Social Impact Awards. The awards were first created in 2019 together with Credit Suisse, our regional headline sponsor for the Gen.T List, to recognise honourees using technology to make a positive impact at scale.
This year, 12 honourees were selected across Asia, including mental wellness advocate Qian Zhuang, medtech entrepreneur Zhang Shaodian and tech entrepreneur Li Yifan—all of which hail from China.
