When R&B Distillers co-founder, Alasdair Day, declared that the bottle of The Tweeddale Evolution in his hands was 28 years old, it drew oohs and aahs from the Singapore Tatler guests at the whisky appreciation evening at The Grande Whisky Collection in Ion Orchard. After all, a bottle of whisky of that age is hard to come by and is, in fact, the oldest Tweeddale to date.

The Tweeddale is part of the Scottish bottler and distiller’s brand portfolio, and Day has been blending its whiskies using his great-grandfather’s recipes for nearly a decade. The evening’s programme was simple, but highly enjoyable, as like-minded guests caught up with old friends and were regaled with whisky-blending tales from the Speyside, and their glasses constantly topped up with premium scotch.
