In a fitting commemoration of the recent inscription of the Singapore Botanic Gardens as a Unesco World Heritage Site, City Developments Limited’s deputy chairman Kwek Leng Joo hosted esteemed guests to a gala dinner in an evening of cultural performances and speeches.

In between the exquisite four-course dinner, which included grilled tiger prawns, Black Angus beef tenderloin and a luscious Amedei chocolate dessert, an exclusive gold-plated orchid hybrid went to Sunray Woodcraft Construction’s Connie Wu during an auction. More performances ensued, including a choral delivery by the Woodlands Primary School choir, rounding up the evening on a high note.
