The Apprentice: One Championship Edition promises a tougher, more exhilarating experience for contestants who hail from 11 nations worldwide.
Many of us should be familiar with the reality TV show, The Apprentice. Not only has it been around for 17 years, but it has also featured former US President Donald Trump (US edition) as well as business magnate Alan Sugar (UK edition), where they put contestants through gruelling business-related tasks. But if you think you've seen it all on the almost two-decade-long TV show, nothing will quite prepare you for the upcoming season that debuts March 18 on AXN.
Slated to be distributed worldwide to 117 countries and filmed on our own shores in Singapore, The Apprentice: One Championship Edition promises a tougher, more exhilarating experience for contestants who hail from 11 nations worldwide.
This week, Tatler Singapore invited a few friends, including Alfred Chua, Sammi Lin, Janice Wong and Jessie Ho to catch the exclusive preview and red carpet premiere of The Apprentice: One Championship Edition's first episode at the Andaz Singapore. To say there was an air of excitement in the ballroom as they waited for the season premiere is an understatement. Guests first encountered a large photo wall featuring host, CEO and chairman of One Championship Chatri Sityodtong, alongside 16 contestants who battled it out for a US$250,000 job offer and a chance to be his protege for a year at One Championship. They were then greeted by a gilded One Championship belt at the door, before being ushered to their respective seats.
"This is the first truly global edition," says Sityodtong at the premiere. "Not only is it going to excite millions of The Apprentice fans all over the world, but our revamped edition will see some of the world's top CEOs, billionaires and One Championship's martial arts legends on the show to inspire our candidates and viewers."
The Apprentice: One Championship Edition airs on March 18 on AXN.
