Set against the modern and industrious backdrop at The Warehouse Hotel's lobby, The Edit & Co showcased two new-to-Singapore clothing brands: the vibrant bohemian designs of veteran Indian fashion designer Surily Goel, as well as stunning, hand-embroidered chikankari ensembles by Bollywood singer-cum-judge of The Voice India, Kanika Kapoor. Showcasing alongside them were also crystal-charged candles by Hong Kong-based company, Anvi and personalisable vegan-leather handbags by Radhi Kilachand, artist and owner of Styled4Moi.
Not only were there plenty of opportunities to interact with designers before making their purchase, but guests were also treated to a fashion presentation. The models, which included philanthropist and founder of Her Planet Earth, Christine Amour-Levar, were clad in designs by the House of Chikankari and Surily G.
There was also a charity auction that featured items donated by all designers, including an intricate cape from the House of Chikankari. All funds collected from the auction are channelled to Aangan Trust, a non-profit organisation that seeks to promote child protection in India, a cause that is close to co-founder Anita Chellaram's heart.
