Fundraising efforts at the Singapore Children's Society culminates annually with its charity gala dinner. At the start of this year's edition, which saw more than 500 guests including guest-of-honour minister Chan Chun Sing as well as Laura Hwang and Belinda Chua in attendance at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore,  the gala had already raised over $800,000 in support of the organisation's programmes and services. Live and silent auctions later bumped up the figure further and by the end of the night, bringing the organisation closer to its $1m goal.
