There's no better way to celebrate your birthday than with your closest girlfriends, and Serene Chua did just that with a bash at The Lobby Lounge, Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore. Guests came decked in their brightest Sunday best, while Serene herself looked resplendent in a whimsical Dolce & Gabbana dress. Over a sumptuous Peranakan buffet spread, the ladies enjoyed a convivial afternoon, topped only by the lavish dessert spread that included a gigantic birthday chendol, created specially for the birthday girl by the Coconut Club. Ending the afternoon on a sweet note was the cake-cutting ceremony, for which Serene's older daughter Amber Sng was present for. The little girl eagerly waited for the guests to dig into the rainbow-coloured, salted caramel cake from Little House of Dreams so she could finally lay her hands on the centrepiece Barbie doll she had been coveting for months.
