Over 300 guests turned up in their Derby bests on 19 July at the Singapore Turf Club, wining and dining to a sumptuous dinner spread before heading to the viewing gallery at the Emirates Hospitality Suite, where they were kept to the edges of their seats as the Emirates Singapore Derby races unfolded in real-time before their eyes. The event concluded the final leg of the Singapore Four-Year-Old Challenge, with a whopping prize money of S$1.15 million.

Also, because no horse-racing event is complete without a "Best Dressed to the Races" competition, familiar faces such as Emily Huang, Bobby Tonelli, Tahira Amir Sultan Khan and John Simpson put on their glitziest interpretations of Derby Day fashion. The stylish winner, Lise Commandeur walked away with a pair of business class tickets to Melbourne, and the opportunity to catch another major horse-racing event - the Melbourne Cup in November.
