What started in 1984 as a small part of a law practice, the Portcullis Group has blossomed into one of Asia's largest independent fund and family office service providers. To celebrate its 35th anniversary this year, it organised a cocktail event at the newly-opened Jubilee Ballroom at Raffles Hotel Singapore. In his speech, David Chong, who is the founder and president of the group, thanked everyone for their support, especially after the data theft incident in 2013. "The only good thing that came out from our data theft incident was that these journalists went through about 30 years of all our internal records and emails, and if they cannot find a single thing that I have done wrong, I'd say it is not a bad internal audit," he jokingly added, sending the entire ballroom into peals of laughter. In attendance at the momentous occasion were Singapore Tatler friends including Grace Yeh and Iqbal, Maniza and Nada Jumabhoy as well as prominent society faces such as veteran lawyer Sat Pal Khattar and established banker Tee Fong Seng.
