Spending an evening at the Lioks was enough to inspire wanderlust, even in the armchair traveller. Justin Liok and Shuyi Liu invited some 30 of their closest friends and family to the Liok residence in October to share excerpts from their adventures in Peru last year. A video montage showed the jet-setting duo’s personal snapshots of the South American country’s natural landscape, ancient wonders and vibrant culture, while light bites of causa limena (a Lima-style potato dish), chicharron (pork rinds) and ceviche prepared by chef Jorge Valderrama of LongPlay restaurant and bar had appetites satiated.
