NCIS 10th Anniversary Fundraising Gala Dinner

Cancer is no longer a death sentence—this is the message of the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS), which celebrated its 10th anniversary with a fundraising gala dinner at the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore, in November. NCIS has come a long way since its early days as an ambulatory service to become a one-stop facility providing holistic and comprehensive paediatric and adult cancer care, management and treatment. During the dinner, 27-year-old cancer survivor Joseph Lee shared how he overcame two relapses with fierce tenacity, and the help of an expert team of doctors and a supportive family. To further its pursuit of providing excellent care and helping patients navigate the complexities of cancer, NCIS will launch a yet-to-be-named mobile app in Q2 this year, made available first to its breast and colorectal cancer patients.
