The Ballet School

The National Heart Centre Singapore Heart to Heart Gala 2016, together with guest-of-honour minister for foreign affairs, Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, raised $630,000 which will go towards its patient care and research fund. The dinner’s theme — Enchanted Garden — signified the strong will to live that can be found in trees. The Ballet School’s young ballerinas opened the event with a befitting performance titled Danse des Oiseaux et les Papillons; meaning Dance of the Birds and the Butterflies.

Guests enjoyed a 4-course dinner conceptualised by Conrad Centennial Singapore’s executive chef, David Laval. Topping the evening’s bid was a specially commissioned tree sculpture mounted on a 200 million year old fossil base by father-and-son artist duo, KY Huang and Andrew Huang.
