According to society friend Fanty Soenardy, all that glitters must be gold. That was what she decreed at her recent 46th birthday party that was themed “The Midas Touch”. Guests were plied all night long with Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Champagne and Hennessy Paradis Imperial, and regaled with a creative summer-inspired menu by German-born Chef Benjamin Halat of Curate at Resorts World Sentosa (who knew steckerlfisch and egg souffle could be this fancy?). Guests turned up in all forms of gilded glitz but the ultimate Midas touch belonged to the birthday girl who beamed in look 41 of the Chanel 2018/19 Metier d’Art collection. The golden hours passed by far too quickly but there’s always next year to look forward to.
