At the 17th Entrepreneur Of The Year (EOY) awards gala in October, PatSnap CEO and Generation T honouree Jeffrey Tiong was lauded by professional services organisation EY for his outstanding contributions to the R&D industry. He was named the EOY 2018 Singapore and EY Entrepreneur Of The Year – Analytics Intelligence at the event, and will represent Singapore at the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year in Monaco next year, where he will compete with 50 other countries for the world title. On his achievements, Robert Yap, executive chairman of YCH Group and the chair of the judging panel said: "He did not let his youth or inexperience hold back his bold ambition. He pursued his entrepreneurial vision upon graduation with resilience and learned how to grow and lead a business." That evening, EY also presented Stephen Riady with the EY Asean Entrepreneurial Excellence award, while homegrown apparel manufacturer Sing Lun Holdings received the EY-Standard Chartered Family Business Award of Excellence.
