What's one way to make the weekend come around faster? A scheduled spot of mid-week shopping, courtesy of Singapore Tatler of course. The autumn/winter'18 collection for Burberry, which also happens to be Creative Director Christopher Bailey's final collection for the British house, featured a plethora of rainbow colours and prints inspired by a dive club in a basement in Halifax, Yorkshire—a place where Bailey had his first fashion awakening—the collection featured DIY elements that were reflective of the '80s and '90s British street culture that Bailey grew up with. Special runway pieces were brought in just for this particular shopping event, including a rainbow painted paper skirt that was worn by Cara Delevingne on the runway. Also on hand was Fashion Director Desmond Lim, ready to give our society friends a fashion master class in layering and his interpretation on how to style the collection.
