Close friends and long-time supporters of the Singapore Dance Theatre (SDT) came together at its home in Bugis+ for its inaugural The Moon and The Stars fundraiser. Guest of honour and SDT patron, president Tony Tan Keng Yam, who was accompanied by Mrs Mary Tan, took the seats in the front row in the Founder’s Studio to enjoy excerpts from three iconic ballets: Theme and Variations by George Balanchine, Blue Snow by Toru Shimazaki and Schubert Symphony by Choo‑San Goh. The evening was also one to commemorate the continuing legacy of the late Goh, one of the inspirations for the founding of the company 28 years ago. In recognition of his contributions, SDT dedicated its Rehearsal Studio as the Choo‑San Goh Studio.
