Italian jeweller Bvlgari brought the glitz and glamour of the legendary Cinecittà studios to mystical Bhutan for the regional launch of its Cinemagia High Jewellery Collection.

Against a backdrop of majestic mountains and sacred monasteries in the Himalayan kingdom, Bvlgari guests were treated to a spectacular evening, which kicked off with cocktails and a traditional Bhutanese performance. Everyone later adjourned for dinner in a specially constructed glasshouse at Six Senses Thimphu overlooking stunning views of the Bhutanese capital, before the Cinemagia High Jewellery Collection was unveiled with a model show that drew "oohs" and "ahhs" from everyone present.

Earlier in the week, selected media from around the region, including Singapore Tatler, also had the opportunity to view the collection up close with jewellery creative director Lucia Silvestri and high jewellery director Giampaolo della Croce.

From Elizabeth Taylor in Cleopatra and Sharon Stone in Casino, to the Emerald City in The Wizard of Oz, there were plenty of cinematic references across the over 150-piece high jewellery collection. One highlight was the Action! necklace, which was inspired by the celluloid film. Its round film, when rotated, reproduces the sound of old projectors.
