In keeping with tradition at Art Stage Singapore, Ruinart vested its VIP lounge to an artist’s work inspired by the venerated champagne house. This year, illustrious French artist and scenographer Hubert le Gall presented The Glass Calendar, 12 Murano glass sculptures that captured the effervescence of the drink and abstracted the vineyard cycle through a year and the white Chardonnay grape that gives rise to Ruinart’s iconic cuvee, Blanc de Blancs. VIP guests were feted with flutes of this very champagne as they previewed the contemporary art fair on the January 20 vernissage before retiring to Adrift at Marina Bay Sands for dinner prepared by chef-owner David Myers himself. The irrepressible Le Gall further charmed guests with autographs personalised with cute doodles.
