It was a boisterous night of feasting and drinking as a bevy of society friends attended a private dinner jointly hosted by Singapore Tatler's T.Dining and Nanjing Impressions. The Chinese restaurant, which pays homage to Nanjing's culinary heritage, was founded in 1994 but only ventured outside of China about a year ago. During the dinner at its first restaurant in Singapore, and overseas, at Plaza Singapura, a total of nine flavourful courses were served, including traditional dishes such as the Jinling signature salted duck and Jinling noodles in light soy sauce broth. These were paired with deceptively sweet Chinese wine, which led to a spontaneous yum seng midway through the meal.
