In end September, the Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF) celebrated its 20th anniversary with a charity gala at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore. Motivating speeches were given by BCF president Noor Quek, organising commitee chairperson Peggy Jeffs and guest-of-honour minister Indranee Rajah, who emphasised the importance of increasing awareness of the cancer that affects an estimated one in 14 Singaporean women before the age of 75. For Rajah, the cause also hit close to home, with her sister having passed away from the cancer. Following this, beautiful performances by Flamenco Sin Fronteras, child soprano Mikey Robinson and talented musician Michael Chen and friends took the stage.
