Quench your thirst with our bi-weekly recommendations of alcoholic tipples available for takeaway and delivery

With fingers crossed, we’re all waiting for dine-in restrictions to be lifted on June 21. And just because we have come so far from the increased safety measures during Phase 2 (Heightened Alert), we deserve a drink or two on our last week of staying home. We’re hoping to make it easier for everyone with our roundup of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks that you can enjoy at home, so take your pick from barrel-aged infusions, ready-to-drink cocktails, craft beers and cold brew teas. Let’s drink to that!

Classic cocktails here are given a new dimension with barrel ageing, where the elixir spends time in a cask to heighten notes of vanilla or coconut (depending on the wood barrel used), soften the harsh alcohol taste and bind all the flavours together.

Taste it in the Old Fashioned, a smooth but potent concoction of Old Forester Straight Bourbon whiskey combined with aromatic bitters and homemade syrup, as well as Negroni, a combination of Beefeater gin, Campari and Martini Rosso Vermouth. Order here.
