Bid 2020 a sweet adieu at these restaurants and bars offering exclusive menus to mark the occasion

Pandemic or not, we need to give 2020 a proper goodbye (with safety measures in place, of course). Thankfully, the island’s top chefs feel the same, so they’ve made it easier for you with special food and drink menus to welcome the new year on a high note.

Now that we’ve also entered Phase 3 in Singapore, you can even celebrate in bigger groups (maximum of eight people). That said, it seems like 2021 is already off to a good start so let’s drink to that.

1. Kinki Restaurant + Bar

The casual restaurant and bar will close for a much-deserved facelift next year, but not before it welcomes the new year with a festive five-course meal and a complimentary glass of Moet & Chandon brut champagne.

It’s the perfect start for the parade of contemporary Japanese dishes, some of which are the scallop tartare with shiso leaf tempura and seared tuna loin; Wagyu katsu with uni capellini; and Mentaiko tiger prawn with uni capellini. The monaka atsuki matcha ends the meal on a sweet note. Book here.

Naturally, the highlight of the meal is the meat and you’ll dig into the beautifully grilled A5 Miyazaki Wagyu sirloin enhanced with kombu bagna cauda and mugnuli wild broccoli. The menus come with wine pairing. Book here.
