The mark of a good dim sum restaurant is one that can constantly deliver the best quality and taste, and also serve up classic dishes done right. Taste Paradise prides itself on an extensive menu of creation and now Executive Chef Fung Chi Keung has unveiled several innovative new dishes.

Dim sum is neither exotic nor exclusive. It's a cuisine that is widely available, but the hard part is finding a restaurant that can constantly deliver the best quality and taste, and also serve up classic dishes done right.

Taste Paradise prides itself on an extensive menu of creations, all of which are made a la minute, that have been hugely popular with diners. Now Executive Chef Fung Chi Keung has unveiled several innovative new dishes such as foie gras salad with bacon bits in sesame dressing, pan-seared kurobuta pork served with garlic sauce, and live bamboo lobster cooked with shredded black fungus in rice wine soup, to name a few.

One of the highlights -- nourishing double-boiled quail soup with sea coconut and chuan bei herbs -- is something you shouldn't miss. This light soup will soothe and comfort your palate and offers health benefits too - before the soups are concocted, traditional Chinese medicine doctors are consulted to ensure that they are good for your body. Quail is considered of a better quality to use in soups, and requires more skill from the chef to extract the best tastes from it. Taste Paradise makes only 300 portions of this soup each day.

The chilled ramen with black truffle bits in white truffle sauce is very refreshing, especially on a hot sweltering day. The truffle is elegantly subtle - there's enough to give you a hint of the taste but doesn't overpower the ramen.

Char-grilled spare rib with sweet plum sauce is as tender as spare ribs can get. The trick to getting the best taste out of the spare ribs, unfortunately for the health conscious, is to eat it with the fat included. The soft melt-in-your-mouth fat gives the spare ribs an extra delicate creaminess.

Some of Taste Paradise's new dim sum dishes include the baked honey BBQ pork, deep-fried prawn ball with almond flakes and century egg and pickled ginger in chestnut roll with wasabi mayonnaise.

Look out also for the durian fantasy served in young coconut, which combines a creamy durian ice cream with glutinous black rice, coconut iced shavings and cashew nuts. It's neither overpowering, so you don't have to worry about chasing other people away with durian breath, nor bland.
