Treat your significant other with an indulgent Valentine’s Day menu at these restaurants

Valentine’s Day is so much more than just the delivery of roses and other such displays of affection. It’s also the time to indulge in a sumptuous menu specially created by restaurants for this occasion. But if you’re still clueless on where to bring your date to, here are some of our suggestions.

Spathe Public House

What’s interesting about the Spathe Public House Valentine’s Day menu is that each course has a story to tell. For starters, one of the options is the pressed foie gras terrine with kumquat and duck heart satay. Executive chef Claudio Sandri says that the ingredients represent every single detail we experience in a relationship. But if we love each one wholeheartedly, the end result can be gratifying.

The tale continues with the main course of tenderloin and lobster with grilled cabbage and fondante croquet or the New Zealand cod fish with creamed spinach puree, remoulade and cantaloupe melon. The first dish symbolises the union of two opposites, while the second option signifies love and respect for one another. If we do, the reward will be sweet just like the banana fine tart with caramelised hazelnut, chocolate and banana sauce with triple chocolate cream.

The three-course Valentine’s Day menu is available for dinner on 13 and 14 February, with two seatings available. For reservations, please call 6735 1035 or email hello@spathe.com.sg

Gordon Grill

Set amid the beautiful surroundings at the historic Goodwood Park Hotel, Gordon Grill provides the perfect backdrop to woo your date. To help you with that, executive chef Gan Swee Lai has created a six-course tasting menu to tantalise the palate.

Showcasing his culinary flair are creations which include the Maine lobster ravioli with seasonal mushrooms and mild herb velouté; grilled Australian wagyu beef with braised short rib in red wine sauce and caper-raisin puree and chocolate nougat parfait, mango passion fruit puff with panna cotta and pistachio ice cream. Also known for its warm and impeccable service, you’ll surely have the time of your life at this restaurant.

The Carvery

If you plan to dine at The Carvery on Valentine’s Day, we suggest you come with an appetite. Why? Well, it’s because the chefs will spoil you with a semi-buffet spread which starts with a soup, seafood platter and intermezzo to be delivered to your table.

The mains are served buffet-style, and you can choose from prized meats such as the Salmon Wellington or the US Black Angus Ribeye. Mix and match these with equally enjoyable sides like the Yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob and cauliflower gratin. Cap off the meal with luscious desserts and a complimentary cocktail which you can sip at the poolside bar, Aqua Luna.

The Valentine’s Day semi-buffet is available for dinner on 13 and 14 February. For reservations, please call 6828 8880 or email thecarvery.phal@parkhotelgroup.com
