Order These Bento Boxes for Your Quick And Fuss-Free Meals at Home
The convenience of bento sets is undeniable, especially during this difficult period where most of us are working from home and are always looking for easy yet delicious solutions for lunch and dinner. Luckily for us, our island's chefs have stepped up to the occasion with creative bento offerings that bring the restaurant experience to your abode.
1/6 Saint Pierre
Chef-owner Emmanuel Stroobant and his team have gone to great lengths to deliver a fine-dining experience to your home, in the form of bento boxes. But it’s not served in the ordinary packaging, rather in beautifully lacquered boxes containing 10 cold dishes.
Premium ingredients star in the chef’s signatures, including Aomari apples crowned with caviar, and enoki mushrooms held together by strips of grilled Omi beef. Similar to having a meal at Saint Pierre, Stroobant himself will welcome you to the virtual fine dining experience via a Zoom call. Call the restaurant or email them for orders and enquiries.
2/6 Kuriya Dining
Japanese cuisine is always a good idea when you want to tuck into delicious food while social distancing. Thankfully, the culinary team has prepared an array of enticing bento options to suit your preference.
If that’s some good ‘ol prawn tempura, you’ll be glad to know it’s paired with your choice of Iberico pork, salmon belly with teriyaki, or grilled yellowtail. The finishing touches include the typical edamame, pickles, steamed egg custard and a complimentary drink. Available for takeaway or pick up at the Great World City drop off point. Call the restaurant at least 30 minutes in advance to order.

Start in the West with this delectably presented meal of barbecued chicken glazed in sweet-smoky hickory garlic and lime rub, spaghetti puttanesca, and a side of steamed broccoli and plum tomatoes.
For flavours closer to home, opt for the Indian selection comprising juicy tandoori chicken with mint chutney, accompanied by spiced dhal makhana and biryani rice. Better yet, have the Asian set with the Hainanese-style chicken rice, sautéed vegetables and homemade char. Click here to order.

Staying home 24/7 is stressful enough as it is during this difficult period, so the chefs want to ease the burden by preparing your breakfast, lunch or dinner in bento sets. Sound good? Get the day started with a filling meal of scrambled eggs, chicken sausages, baked beans and greens.
Lunch or dinner depends on your preferred cuisine. Have the coq au vin with a side of mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables for fine French fare; if you want something local, the nasi lemak is served with crisp fried chicken wings, fried egg, achar and sambal chilli. Click here to order.
