Mother's Day 2021: Where to Bring Mum for a Delicious Feast in Singapore
Mum's special day is just around the corner, which is why we have scoured Singapore's dining scene in search for the best Mother's Day menus to treat her to. And with the island's vibrant F&B scene, our mothers will definitely be spoiled with the plethora of choices that range from different cuisines, buffets and set menus. For a truly indulgent meal, why not bring her to a buffet restaurant with an extensive spread of all her favourite dishes. Or, if she's a small eater, there are some restaurants, too, that offer delicious set menus she will appreciate.
1/9 Cut by Wolfgang Puck
The culinary team has prepared a glorious three-course brunch on May 9, comprising the Michelin-starred restaurant’s signature dishes. Bring an appetite and tuck into a selection of house-made pastries first before indulging further with the likes of Austrian oxtail bouillon, chervil, bone marrow dumpling; classic Maryland blue crab cakes benedict; and pork schnitzel with country gravy, fried eggs and buttermilk biscuits.
Naturally, all eyes are on the main course—steak. Mum can go for the steak & eggs, starring USDA prime New York sirloin, roasted potatoes and watercress salad, or premium cuts such as American Wagyu ribeye and Hokkaido snow beef sirloin for an additional fee. The set comes with optional free-flow beverage, in case mum wants bottomless servings of champagnes, house wines and spirits. Book here.

Mothers who take a liking for Japanese cuisine will delight in chef Keisuke Uno’s Mother’s Day menu, served from May 7 to 9. It consists of the usual favourites but presented with a slight modern twist—such are the thinly sliced kampachi doused with truffle soy sauce; pristine seafood salad enriched with onsen egg, lobster and abalone; and California roll studded with crab, avocado and tobiko.
Leave space for the warm and comforting king crab hot pot, as well as a selection of crisp tempura such as prawn, kinmedai and shiitake mushroom. Dessert is a decadent green tea opera cake, which will pair deliciously well with a glass of Taittinger Brut or Rosé. Book here.

Take note: these are only the start of an indulgent meal that also has a wide selection of noodles, rice and meaty mains. Proceed to the heavier dishes after these small bites; the stir-fried mee sua noodles is redolent with 'wok hei' and topped with egg, vegetables and Chinese chives, while the beef brisket stew has been slow-cooked until fork-tender and mixed with chunks of turnip. Before that, the chefs will whet the appetite with hearty green asparagus and fennel soup accompanied by homemade garlic bread slathered with Wagyu beef fat.

It’s served alongside the restaurant’s signature cuts such as ocean beef ribeye, spring lamb chop and Iberico pork Tomahawk. Available for lunch and dinner on May 9. Book here.
