New entrants include Tsuta, The Blue Ginger and more.

“A year after the inaugural launch of Michelin guide Singapore, our inspectors remain just as impressed by the dynamic nature of the local culinary scene,” says Michael Ellis, international director of the Michelin guide.

This is reflected in this year’s Bib Gourmand list, a diverse list of 38 restaurants, food stalls and hawkers that impressed the inspectors with their distinct, delicious cuisine at affordable prices.

There are nine new entrants and Bar-Roque Grill, which is also included in Singapore Tatler’s Singapore’s Best Restaurants guide 2016/2017 guide, made the cut as the only French restaurant.

In an interview with Michelin Guide Singapore, executive chef Stephane Istel says, “I am happy to be part of the Bib Gourmand list, and I am proud of my team and our achievements. This is important for us as our goal is to serve comfort food using amazing produce that is still affordable.”
