The dining places will re-open to the public in stages and will also offer their signature hits through an online platform

When the circuit breaker was implemented for two months beginning April, most dining establishments scrambled to get their takeaway and delivery services up and running. But for Marina Bay Sands, it decided to temporarily shut its doors and strategise on how it could better adapt its business model to the ‘new normal’.

Now that we’re in phase two of Singapore's safe re-opening where dining out is permitted, albeit, with a few restrictions, the integrated resort announced that it would progressively begin operations of selected restaurants from June 27. These are Black Tap, Bread Street Kitchen, Mott 32, Cut by Wolfgang Puck and Yardbird Southern Table & Bar, which will all re-open according to the government’s safety guidelines.

To be fair, not everyone is keen to go out and visit public places any time soon. Which is why Marina Bay Sands will complement the dine-in services with the Gourmet Takeaway, to be launched on July 4. Following the restaurants’ gradual re-opening schedule, the online platform will start with takeaways from the five restaurants that have already opened for business. Of course, the ultimate goal is to offer more than 260 dishes from across 12 celebrity chef and signature restaurants.

The culinary team at Cut by Wolfgang Puck will prepare a simplified version of its a la carte menu. But don’t worry, you’ll still be able to order popular cuts such as the 21-day aged, corn-fed USDA prime steak and the Snake River Farms wagyu, grilled using applewood charcoal.

Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen will also offer its classic British fare, including fish & chips and The Impossible Wellington, while Mott 32 will serve up its modern Asian fare of Peking duck, stir-fries and dumplings. These will be packed in biodegradable boxes and will be available for pick-up or drive-through at the entrance of the Sands Expo and Convention Center. These will also be available for pick-up directly at the restaurants.
