From the royal residents of the Palace of Versailles to Winston Churchill, Louis XIII’s exquisite blends continue to be a connoisseur’s favourite. Now, for the first time, it is available in a 6L crystal decanter, called Louis XIII Le Mathusalem.

This luxurious cognac will be presented in an expertly hand-blown decanter by 250-year-old French luxury crystal maker Baccarat, crafted from 11kg of crystal. Made entirely by hand, it takes 25 master craftsmen over 60 days to create this work of art. Inspired by an ancient royal flask unearthed from a battlefield in 1850, the Louis XIII Le Mathusalem also requires over 10 times as much crystal as the classic Louis XIII decanter, and is further accentuated by its fleur-de-lys medallions and insignia of French royalty.

The Louis XIII Le Mathusalem will be dispatched by special delivery to the client’s door in a chest with eight crystal glasses, a serving platter and a traditional pipette. Customers will also receive a personal invitation to Cognac for four people to discover the Louis XIII terroir and live its rich history. The experience culminates in the special opening of Le Mathusalem by a house ambassador.
