The Impossible Beef from plant-based brand Impossible Foods can now be purchased on online grocer Redmart and at Fairprice stores
Home cooks have more reasons to get creative in the kitchen, as Impossible Foods’ core product of Impossible Beef is now available at nearly 100 Fairprice outlets across the island as well as online grocery Redmart. This is the first time consumers outside the US can easily purchase the product for their every day kitchen needs.
When it made its debut in Singapore two years ago, Impossible Foods could only be enjoyed in selected restaurants across the island. Their plant-based meat offerings ranging from satay sliders, Impossible burgers to Impossible flatbread proved to be extremely popular, especially among the gourmands who have become more health-conscious but still want to enjoy their meats.
Made out of soy and the so-called magic ingredient ‘heme’ responsible for its meaty flavours, the alternative meat is sold as a regular mince and can replace the beef in your usual recipes. But for those who need guidance in their culinary journey at home, Impossible Foods has also launched its first cookbook, Impossible: The Cookbook.
The book is a collection of 40 delicious recipes crafted by pioneering chefs, including local names Andrei Soen of Park Bench Deli and Ricky Leung of Empress. The featured dishes are also suitable for cooks of all levels, whether you’re a beginner or a professional. As Jordan Sadowsky, director of global expansion at Impossible Foods, enthuses: “We can’t wait for home cooks to experience the magic of the product in their very own at-home culinary creations.”
